EMILIE DE RAVIN / ALLY
I loved how Emilie portrayed Ally, how this tiny, blonde, fragile-looking girl managed to give her character a mixture of vulnerability and astonishing strength, a perfect balance to Tyler’s indecision and refusal to commit to life. Ally boosts Tyler, she’s sometimes like a pure raw flame of energy coming into his life, pushing him into action, but she’s also like the soft glowing light of a candle, suffusing Tyler’s life with an unexpected gentleness and teaching him to uncover and share their mutual sorrows and wounds.

Emilie creates a beautiful chemistry, and a love relationship which is just like her, full of surprises, fragile and tender, funny and quirky, but also strong and quick to anger, with agressive moments.
J’aime le portrait qu’Emilie a su brosser d’Ally, la façon dont ce petit bout de femme toute blonde et d’apparence si fragile a réussi à insuffler à son personnage ce mélange de vulnérabilité et d’étonnante force, formant un équilibre parfait avec l’indécision de Tyler et son refus de s’engager dans la vie. Ally énergise Tyler. Elle est parfois comme une flamme pure et brute d’énergie qui fait irruption dans sa vie et le pousse à agir. Mais elle est aussi comme la lueur douce et tendre d’une bougie, imprégnant la vie de Tyler d’une douceur inattendue, qui lui apprend à révéler et partager leurs peines et leurs blessures mutuelles.
Emilie crée une magnifique alchimie, et une relation amoureuse qui lui ressemble exactement : pleine de surprises, fragile et tendre, drôle et imprévisible, mais aussi vigoureuse et prompte à faire place à la colère, avec des moments d’agressivité.
