Humeur ensoleillée aujourd'hui avec cette petite collection de gifs animés rigolos : ce sont tous des moments ou des phrases hilarants entre Tyler et Aidan...

The hilarious guitar and weight-lifting scene on the boy's terrace roof, when Tyler threatens to leave Aidan crushed beneath the weights he can't lift off from his chest (Tyler actually leaves!.. but we know he comes back).

Le moment hilarant où Tyler assis avec sa guitare, sur le toit-terrasse de leur appartement, regarde Aidan essayer désespérement de se dégager des haltères qu'il n'arrive plus à soulever et qui lui écrasent la poitrine. Tyler and Ally in the train, laughing as they listen to Aidan's fling at the library with his "Eskimo" girl. All the fun of the scene is that Ally can't believe that Aidan slept with the unlikely"Eskimo" girl (Aidan just boasted that he had gone out with girls from all nationalities), while Tyler can't believe Aidan went to the library at all.

Tyler et Ally dans le train écoutent pouffant de rire Aidan raconter comment il a séduit une « Eskimaude » à la bibliothèque. Le plus amusant est qu'Ally a du mal à croire qu'Aidan soit sorti avec une improbable "Esquimaude" (il vient de se vanter d'être sorti avec des filles de toutes les nationalités, ou presque) tandis que Tyler, lui, peine plutôt à croire qu'Aidan soit allé tout court à la bibliothèque.

TYLER IN RM: A LOST SOUL ON HIS WAY BACK TO A MEANINGFUL LIFE

Tyler, une âme perdue qui tente de revenir à la vie

I love this definition of Tyler in my friend jessegirl's new revisited article about Tyler's diary (you can read it over at my sister blog: http://www.rememberme-film.com/2011/06/tylers-journal-in-remember-me-new-look.html

Tyler is "someone struggling with long-standing trauma and grief, a young man filled with doubts, fear and insecurity. He is a lost soul trying valiantly to find his way back to a meaningful life."


Life is full of strange coincidences, and I've just found this beautiful picture of Tyler, riding the suburb train after the family ceremony at the cemetery, over Michael's grave.  The message in the image oddly seems to reflect the article's definition of Tyler. Tyler is still carrying his burden of sorrow and doubts, but, even though he is still this lost and wandering  soul, he is also constantly on the move, engaged in a introspective journey (through his diary) as in a real journey through life and love and difficulties (his relation with Ally, with his father, sister and mother, with his friend Aidan). A journey inward, a journey outward, Tyler is slowly growing up and out of his pain, and would have gone on doing so, if he had been allowed to live longer.

Tyler est "quelqu'un qui lutte contre un traumatisme et un chagrin anciens, un jeune homme empli de doutes, de crainte et d'insécurité. C'est une âme perdue qui tente vaillamment de retrouver le chemin vers une vie qui ait un sens".


La vie est pleine de curieuses coïncidences et je viens juste de trouver cette belle image animée de Tyler, voyageant dans le train de banlieue après la cérémonie familiale au cimetière, sur la tombe de son frère Michael. Etonnamment, le message inscrit dans l'image semble être un écho de l'article. Tyler porte toujours son fardeau de peine et de doutes, mais même s'il est encore cette âme perdue et errante, il est aussi toujours constamment en mouvement. Il est lancé dans un voyage introspectif (au travers de son journal), tout comme dans un vrai voyage à travers la vie, l'amour et les difficultés (au travers de sa relation avec Ally, avec son père, sa mère et sa soeur, et avec son ami Aidan). Voyage vers l'intérieur, voyage vers l'extérieur, Tyler est lentement en train de grandir, et de quitter son chagrin, et il aurait continué à le faire, s'il lui avait été donné de vivre plus longtemps.

TYLER'S PAIN IN REMEMBER ME : AN UNFINISHED JOURNEY THROUGH SORROW

Tyler et son chagrin dans Remember Me: l'histoire d'un voyage inachevé

One of the main themes of the film is Tyler's pain, born with his elder brother Michael's unexplained suicide. Tyler carries his grief everywhere with him, all the time, just as he carries his diary, a visible symbol for this sorrow. The film's story is actually about Tyler's journey through pain, and how he slowly learns to cope with it through newfound love and hope. The ending is all the more poignant because Tyler will never be given the chance to live longer to complete his journey to healing.

L'un des grands thèmes du film est le chagrin de Tyler, qui tire son origine du suicide inexpliqué de son frère aîné Michael. Tyler transporte sa douleur partout avec lui, tout le temps, tout comme il a toujours sur lui son journal, symbole bien visible de sa tristesse. L'histoire du film est en réalité celle du voyage de Tyler dans le chagrin, et montre comment il apprend lentement à faire face grâce à l'amour et à l'espoir retrouvés. La fin est d'autant plus poignante que Tyler n'aura jamais la chance de pouvoir continuer à vivre pour terminer son voyage vers la guérison.
