I love this scene, when Tyler, walking Ally and the giant panda to their taxi, dives in for a kiss, is rejected by Ally, and then tells her...
So, dessert first in case of asteroids, yes. But kissing a guy you seem at least somewhat attracted to before riding off into the unknown New York night alongside a panda you’ve only just met, no?
You lied?... It hurts!
Ally and her giant freaking panda...
Going for the kiss...
Ouch... rejected... That's when he says the line : So, dessert first in case of asteroids, yes. But kissing a guy you seem at least somewhat attracted to before riding off into the unknown New York night alongside a panda you’ve only just met, no?
Tyler finally gets his kiss! Happy ending!
She's totally got him flummoxed, unlike all his other women. Tyler needs this particular type of uncertainty; his sexual prowess needs to be challenged, so that he can be guided to a woman who will help him attend to that to which he need to attend, but in a more optimistic way. He can continue grieving and writing and figuring out how to live with all that, but, with Ally helping--by just being herself--somehow, it'll all work out.
RépondreSupprimerI like your analysis as always jessegirl - you always nail it!! Ally is always herself, and she helps him be himself and grow.
